Poetry is a song of expression from the heart, painted on a canvas with ink, tears, and sometimes, blood. The pictures painted there are of joy, of love, of sorrow, anger and hurt. Poems from the heart, heal those who write it, and touch those who read; which sometimes heals their own wounds. Poetry can be used as a means to express frustration with one's own world, or the world at large. Poets write in a corner, away from the bustle, in a world of their own making. Here is that corner, tucked away for you to share, to ponder, to be amused and to indulge in your own fantasy. Come into our world..............

The Words of a Poet

Did you ever stop to think......
does the poet create the dream
or does the dream make the poet?

 Timeless sounds meander, roam
          through the minds of poets
                    weaving magical realities

from otherwise ordinary scenarios.

 Hearts which otherwise remain locked,
          doors closed, and numbed....
                    somehow are touched by poets.

Tears flow as the words reach inside
open paths, heal those open wounds
                    forming new....baby soft skins.

 Poets are mostly misinterpreted....
misunderstood,  by the world at large,
      and even...by themselves,

               as the words flow endlessly
.........like lava pours
from the depths of the earth..
struggling to be free from bondage.

The words of a poet can strip the truth bare ...

like a bird plucked of it's feathers
                    naked...exposed to the world,

or they can embellish, creating a romantic
          fantasy to dive into.......
letting imaginations run wildly.

        Poets have to be dreamers,
but not all dreamers are poets,
some are artists, musicians, builders,

and not all dreams come true,

but imagining is a beginning...and
          great dreams accomplish great things.
